Hi everybody! So since I'm finding out that all artists are weird in some way, I thought I'd share a weird thing that I do!
Back in 2008 my older brother showed me how to burn PS1 games on CDs and play them on modded consoles. Inadvertently this helped me come up with the PlayStation Seasonal Gameplay
list! Every year I play a sequence of PlayStation One games (and one PS2 game) during the year. Each month has a specific game tied to it. My objective is to beat that particular game during that particular month 100%. The list was much smaller in the past, but I've added more games as time went on.
The list is as follows:January
: Spyro the DragonFebruary
: Crash BandicootMarch
: Croc: Legend of the GobbosApril
: Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes BackMay
: Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!June
: Crash Bandicoot: WarpedJuly
: Rayman 3: Hoodlum HavocAugust
: Spyro: Year of the Dragon
And that's it! Other than Rayman 3 and Crash 3, these games can be beaten in only a few hours. Spyro 1 only takes about 3 hours and 30 minutes to beat 100% if you include the dragon cutscenes. So it doesn't negatively effect my time that much. Some of these games I played as a four year old, so there's some comfort that comes with playing these games. My older brother knows I do this, and everytime he walks by when I'm playing he says things like "That time of the year already?" "Ah, Spyro season!"
I love him!
And for all of those who haven't played the original Spyro and Crash trilogies. YOU MUST!
If you tell people you like video games and haven't played these, these games should be on the top of your list of things to play!
